I didn't get to catch this live unfortunately...I seem to recall a dinner meeting that was planned right at the time of Bill's keynote during CES...oh well. Once you've seen him speak once, you've seen him a thousand times I suppose. This actually caught my eye as likely the only real gem in the entire keynote...well done.
I know this clip has been all over the net...but, I still think it's hilarious...Not entirely clear on what the strategy is, or if there is one for that matter...but cudos to Cadbury for creating this one...
In 2001 a skinny, nerdy, curly haired white boy took the stage at a yearly dance event called Kollaboration. He followed a fairly averagely talented asian kid on stage who had a done a pretty good job of working the crowd. David Bernal nervously got started on his routine. He shuffled around a bit, pumped his fists at his chest like a white-boy, and the crowd kind of sighed. And then kicked it up a notch by doing what appears to be dislocating every joint in his body and completely turning the whole place upside down. The rest, as they say, is history. Here is the relatively internet famous clip of that performance, one of my all-time favorite things on the internets.
